Summary of Leadership

SHAWN O’DONNELL, currently the President and CEO of Caribbean Asset Holdings (Innovative Companies), is a unique executive who is not only intellectually curious and future-oriented, but leads by building operational effectiveness and inspiring employee commitment.

Shawn brings light to solving complex problems and re-inventing the technology-based processes of challenged or growing companies. He is known for bringing a S.W.A.T. mentality to intricate and urgent situations, and above all, getting the job done.

Formerly, as President and CEO of Primus Telecommunications Group's International Carrier Services Division and NASDAQ-traded Arbinet (both telecommunications companies) Shawn developed new strategies, refocused the businesses, and affected the profitable sale of Arbinet and several divisions of PTGi.

While at PTGi he modernized the network platforms and implemented a network and systems integration plan that drove cost reduction through efficiency and productivity improvements.

At Arbinet, he orchestrated the modernization of all key systems and platforms while rebuilding the executive team, cutting expenses and capital expenditure (CapEx), all while exceeding industry revenue performance levels.

Previously, Shawn provided executive and operational oversight through a series of interim and turnaround consulting engagements including bankruptcy restructurings and operational performance improvement programs.

His corporate experience began at MCI/WorldCom where he rose through the engineering ranks to Director of Transmission Engineering overseeing the building of MCI’s fiber optic transport network. Subsequently he served as Executive Vice President of Network Services and Systems for Pathnet, a provider of long haul telecommunications capacity.

Shawn has served on the boards of several technology companies including Shared Technologies, Arbinet, MSV, Terrestar, and currently is on the boards of Verify systems and Caribbean Asset Holdings.
